2024 challenge
The 2024 challenge consist of the following literary awards (prompts):
- Aspen Words – Longlist announced on November 8th, 2023
- Dublin Literary Award – Longlist announced on January 16th
- OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Fiction – Longlist will be announced in March
- The International Booker – Longlist will be announced in March
- The Carol Shields for Fiction Prize – Longlist will be announced on March 8th
- Jhalak Prize – Longlist will be announced on March 14th
- Lambda Literary Award – Longlist will be announced in March
- Ignyte Awards – Longlist expected to be announced in spring
- The ACO Caine Prize for African writing – Longlist expected to be announced in summer
- The Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction – Longlist expected to be announced in summer
- Polari Book Prize – Longlist expected to be announced in summer
- The JCB Prize for Literature – Longlist to be announced in September
- National Book Award for translated fiction – Longlist to be announced in September
- Warwick Prize for women in translation – Longlist expected to be announced in autumn
- Your choice – Add a literary prize of your choosing!
The intention is to read at least 1 book per this year’s longlist/shortlist. However, if you cannot get hold of any books from this year I will not stop anyone from reading a book from previous years.
